Why is most of my stuff not colored? Well, because frankly I don't feel I'm very good at it and it takes me freaking forever to get the effect that I want. So my current goal is to vastly improve my skills and hopefully learn to like it a little more . . . :laughing:

To be honest, I nearly scrapped this piece because it was getting so involved! Drawing in all the kimono patterns by hand . . . why in the world would I put myself through such hell?! :shakefist: I finally found a few shortcuts on PS Elements, but it still took me a long time to reach a point where I was somewhat satisfied with the result . . . Consider this and all related pieces just training, so bear with me as I continue to improve . . . I hope . . . It's definitely okay if none of you like this! I realize it is a bit different from the rest of my stuff . . . :XD:

Oh, and if you know why the theme in the background is eight birds, maybe I'll reward the first person who gets it right with a request . . . :dance:

found it a long time ago on google, had it as wallpaper for several month, lost it and now I've found it again!

I am SO glad you didn't scrap this! I love the texture the most. But I love how you made them look noble and strong. And Oddly enough I really like Neji's hand position. It's an awkward pose but really well done.

The Eight Birds comes from a scene where Neji was testing his powers by looking for birds in the vicinity, but missed one because it was in his blind spot.

I believe that the eighth bird represents himself. He is no longer a caged bird so he flies free, but he doesn't realize that and forgets to count himself, thus finding only seven birds instead of eight. It's like a metaphor.

And I'm probably not the first person to post this....
